Compare BPC-157, TB-500 and Wolverine
A stomach lining, a scar-forming cell and a neurological score measure different things.
Experiments compared
The useful comparison starts with the material in the experiment. BPC-157's gastric and tendon studies tested that peptide. Much of the repair evidence discussed under TB-500 tested full-length thymosin beta-4. Wolverine adds an untested pairing.
| Research subject | Substance actually studied | Reported finding |
|---|---|---|
| Wistar rat stomach ulcers | BPC-157 | Smaller ulcers; faster lining rebuilding |
| Fully cut rat Achilles tendons | BPC-157 | Better collagen organisation and recovery |
| Scar-related experimental models in a review | Full-length thymosin beta-4 | Fewer myofibroblasts; other repair actions |
| Male Wistar rats after stroke | Full-length thymosin beta-4 | Neurological gains at some tested amounts |
| Wolverine combination | No controlled combination test | Combined benefit and safety unresolved |
The entries come from the rat ulcer paper, rat tendon experiment, thymosin beta-4 review and rat stroke study. The orthopaedic review examined BPC-157 work without testing the pairing.
Structure and function
The tendon study's collagen organisation and biomechanical results speak to the arrangement and performance of repaired rat tissue. The stomach study describes a rebuilding lining. The thymosin beta-4 review discusses cells associated with scarring across experimental models.
Each experiment gives the word restoration a different material meaning. The comparison offers no single best peptide for a human injury. A scar-related mechanism, an animal healing result and a human treatment benefit require their own evidence.
The safety observations
The BPC-157 intravenous pilot observed two adults and reported no adverse events. The full-length thymosin beta-4 trial involved 40 healthy volunteers, with no serious adverse events during its brief testing. Neither study measured the Wolverine pairing or established the fragment's long-term safety.
The 2026 sports-medicine review supplies the broader caution: favourable animal findings coexist with scarce rigorous human safety data and potential for serious harm. A quiet short study is reassuring within its observation window. My reassurance expires with those observation periods and test substances.
Questions for a restoration claim
Which tissue changed? Was its organisation examined? Was function measured as well? How long was the result observed, and which substance was actually given? These questions leave a claim specific enough to challenge.
The BPC-157 page follows the stomach and tendon experiments. The TB-500 page follows scar formation and the parent-protein distinction. The Wolverine page examines the proposed partnership. All three remain unapproved for medical use, with WADA restrictions applying to the ingredients.
